Class Policies
Should you need to cancel or reschedule a class at Urban Spools, we require 72 hours notice. A full refund will be issued or you may request a Class Credit to be used toward another class we offer. If a cancellation is received less than 72 hours prior to the class, no refund or Class Credit will be issued. This allows the teachers at Urban Spools to be fully prepared for the correct number of students and to allow for time to fill the slot in classes that often have a waiting list.Urban Spools Classes
Kids Classes
In this course, students will explore the basics of sewing by creating a main project each month. Along the way, they’ll also work on smaller skill-building exercises to practice techniques and gain confidence. By the end of the month, students will have a completed project to take home!

Our Homeschool Sewing Class for ages 9-12 is the perfect fit! Designed for kids with some sewing experience, this class offers a hands-on approach where students will complete a main project each month. Whether it’s a trendy accessory, a functional item, or a piece of clothing, your child will love seeing their creations come to life!

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
