Supporting our Community

Supporting our Community

As we deal with the evolving development of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, we have been amazed at how the Sewing Community has stepped up to help.

We are working tirelessly to serve our Community in many different ways despite our shop currently being closed through April 30. As the days continue, we will keep you updated on the highlights here.

Linking Our Community

Every day, we learn of an organization that needs help and a sewist that is trying to find where they can help. We get common requests, as well (elastic!!). So, we've decided to combine everything we've learned on one page. Learn how you can help within the Community.

Extension of our Staycation Sale

We know there are many who are sewing to help the Community - whether it is for making masks, a mental break from all the news, or simply as a creative outlet! As such, we are extending our Staycation Sale through April 30, 2020. Read more about our Staycation sale.

All Classes Cancelled throughout April

For the safety of everyone, we have decided to cancel all classes in April. We are actively working on starting up an online course selection within the coming weeks. Please stay tuned on our social media or website as we develop this new program.

More Services...Online

We are actively working to move our services - Quilting Services, Embroidery Services, and Machine Repair Services - online!

You can now request Machine Quilting services online. We will soon be releasing more options for requesting sewing machine diagnostics and embroidery services online. Please stay tuned on our social media or website as we develop this new method for setting up appointments.

Social Distancing within the Shop

Our shop will only be operating with essential staff throughout the month of April. We continue to take every precaution to protect ourselves and our Customers who use Curbside pickup. We continually wipe down of all common surfaces in our store. In addition, we use hand sanitizer for every curbside pickup and request Customers accept delivery in their trunk to limit person-to-person contact.

Shopping To Fit Your Needs

Currently, Customers are able to shop with us online and via phone. We offer shipping and curbside pickup for all orders and porch delivery for all sewing machine orders. Customers can also schedule appointments via tele-conferencing during business hours for additional Customer support.

More importantly, we are here and ready to listen to you! If you need an extra conveniences during this time, please let us know!

Community Safety is Top Priority

This is still a fluid situation and we will continue to evolve as we get more recommendations from the CDC, WHO and our local health officials. We will keep you informed but you are also more than welcome to contact our store anytime with questions.

Thank you for continuing to support Urban Spools. It is our deepest desire to take responsible action wherever we can for the health and safety of our Team and our Community. Please feel free to reach out at any time with questions or concerns.

Thank you,
Antonio and Stefanie Orozco
