Intro to Paper Piecing

The world of paper piecing enables quilters to create miniature details with stunning accuracy and the ability to stitch out blocks perfectly every time. Learn the ins and outs of paper piecing while making an amazing graphic quilt block.

In this class, you will learn this technique through the construction of a paper pieced block. We will teach you tips and tricks and you'll leave class with a handful of completed blocks. 

Required Supplies:
- Fabric scraps (recommended: 4 distinct colors/patterns for background, cup, sleeve, and lid)
- Thread
- Add-a-Quarter plus ruler
- Straight pins or wonder clips
- Rotary cutter

Sewing Supplies Recommended for this course:
- Sewing Machine (optional; machine and supplies are available for use in classroom)
- Walking foot (optional)
- 1/4” foot (optional)
- Straight pins or wonder clips
- Fabric scissors
- Paper scissors
- Thread snips
- Seam ripper
- Regular quilting ruler
- Glue stick
- Tweezers
