Intro to Hand Sashiko
Sashiko handwork is a form of Japanese needlework known for its beautiful and yet simple geometric patterns. We'll help you get started in creating this decorative running stitch technique.
In this class we will make a set of coasters in 4 different beginner friendly designs. You will learn how to mark and plan the design, start and finish a thread, and use the traditional "little piercing" sewing method. It will not require a hoop making it an extremely travel friendly art form.
