Get started with free-motion quilting on your domestic sewing machine! This technique offers the Sewist a way to add additional customization to all quilted projects including quilts, pillows and bags.
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to install a free motion quilting foot, to begin and end a design and what to look for when choosing a design. Working on a quilt sandwich, you will create a variety of designs and shapes that becomes a sampler for you to reference in future projects.
Bring your own sewing machine and free motion foot or call the store to request to borrow one. (We need 24 hours advance notice to secure a machine with free motion foot for classroom use). Please read your manual to lower the feed dogs on your sewing machine.
