Piecing Technique: Half Square Triangles and Flying Geese
Mastering Half Square Triangle and Flying Geese blocks unlocks endless quilt design possibilities, giving you the skills to create dynamic patterns, sharp angles, and timeless geometric layouts with ease.
In this class, you will learn how to construct two basic building blocks featured in many quilt patterns. You will learn how to use special tools for marking angles with ease and how to effectively chain piece on your sewing machine.

| Skill Details: | Ages 15+ Must have a working knowledge of how to operate a sewing machine. Just getting started? Take our Intro to Sewing, Part 1: Machine Basics class and our Intro to Sewing, Part 2: In the Sewing Room class before taking this class. Must have knowledge of basic piecing and able to use consistent 1/4" seam allowances. Just getting started? Take our Intro to Quilting Part 1: Piecing class. |

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
