The Penny Quilt
The Penny Quilt Pattern by Kitchen Table Quilting packs a lot of punch! It is a fun way to show off your fabrics and comes together much more quickly than you might think. It is very versatile and lends itself to working with a collection or pulling a bundle from your stash.
In this class, you will learn how to organize your fabrics and for cutting and how to rotate the big blocks to get the proper effect of the quilt. This project creates a lap size quilt approximately 55" x 74" using mostly fat quarters to make your quilt. Please expect homework. It is not anticipated you will finish the entire project in class but you will have the required skills to complete the project with ease.

NOTE: There are a variety of fabric tones used in this quilt construction which will be outlined in class. Due to the complex nature of how this quilt is constructed, we recommend consulting with the instructor on substitution fabrics once you have the pattern in class if you are opting not to purchase the kit. Bring more than the minimum fabric requirements so you have options to change accordingly. |
