Bag Making Basics Part 4: Easy Does It
This Series is divided into four sessions as the best way to learn essential bag making techniques. By the end of the Series, you will have the confidence and be better equipped to take on a variety bags, totes and purses. This fourth in the series called Easy Does It, is a handy zippered bag with attached handles which will store and carry all your essentials — or make a quick and easy gift! You will love the results and the usefulness of this little project.
Fabric quilted with Soft and Stable gives great body and stability and ensures long-lasting wear.
Finished size: 6"H x 9"W x 4¼"D
The Easy Does It pattern is a perfect way to learn many of the basic techniques.
As you make this useful bag, you will learn how to quilt fabric with soft n stable, attach a zipper to zipper strips made from quilted fabric, then join zipper strips to side strips and bind edges for a flat finish. You will also learn how to join three-dimensional pieces together and bind the raw edges on a dimensional bag including tips for going around corners, joining ends, and finishing binding.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
