Walking Foot Quilting
Many of our Customers piece quilts and leave them in a pile while they move on to another piecing project. Let us help you get those tops turned into quilts! Learn how to install and use the walking foot on your machine and plan out your quilting method beyond straight lines.
In this class, you will learn how to get started in quilting with a walking foot from which needle to use to experimenting with lines and various stitch types. You will learn how to install the foot and various tools and accessories you may want to add to help with the process. You will learn how to manage your quilt on the table and work with the throat space on your sewing machine.

Cancellations with more than 3 days prior notice may request a full refund. Cancellations received 1 - 3 days before the class will receive credit towards another class. Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
