Handwork Project: Holiday Ornaments
Each month, create a beautiful holiday ornaments with hand embroidery featuring a unique designs and stitch techniques. These is a perfect project to continually experiment with different colors and styles.
In this class, students will learn the art of sewing with felt, creating shapes, and adding decorative embellishments through hand embroidery.
This is an ongoing project from January 2025 - December 2025. In each session, we will work on a different ornament and new stitches.
For the first session, you will need to purchase the kit that includes the hand embroidery stitch guide and basic hand embroidery supplies.
After the first session, join for as many sessions throughout the year to guide you through each ornament of the quilt! In each session, all fabrics and threads needed to complete the felt ornament are provided.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
