Piecing Technique: Applique the HNK Way
Applique quilt piecing offers a timeless, meditative craft that lets you add intricate details, stunning textures, and personal artistry to your quilts, one stitch at a time.
In this class, you will learn the art of hand applique using HNK Applique paper to give you perfect turned edge applique. This class is perfect for the beginner looking to explore a new crafting technique that can be used for this and many other quilting techniques such as English Paper Piecing and prepared needleturn appliqué. This class will explore both hand and machine applique processes.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
