Summer Camp: Get Started with Bags & Totes
Let's Bag It Up! Get ready to stitch, zip, and snap your way through a week of bag-making fun! Explore all the cool skills it takes to make your own custom bags and totes — from sewing zippers and snapping on closures to adding pockets, straps, and giving fabric some serious shape.
In this camp, you will learn how to install zippers, snaps, straps, and pockets on 5 simple bag and tote projects. This camp is perfect for kids who love to create with their hands and want to build confidence at the sewing machine.
Students will learn essential sewing skills while stitching up a variety of fun and practical projects - no experience needed! We provide all the supplies, so just bring your creativity and get ready to sew, learn, and make new friends.

Cancellations with more than 3 days prior notice may request a full refund. Cancellations received 1 - 3 days before the class will receive credit towards another class. Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024
2936 Reward Lane Dallas, TX 75220
We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
