Kids Let's Get Sewing Summer Camp
Is this your child's first time sewing? No problem! Come spend the week with us learning the wonderful art of sewing. This camp was so popular last year that we are offering it twice this summer. Project supplies and snacks are included in the camp.
In this camp Students will learn the parts of the sewing machine, to wind a bobbin and to thread the sewing machine. They will also learn to measure seam allowance, sew straight, pivot corners and to adjust stitch width and length.
Project supplies and snacks are included in the camp. No experience necessary.
Campers will complete at least two small sewing projects and an envelope pillow cover.
Campers can use a classroom machine, bring their own machine from home or purchase a new Baby Lock sewing machine at Urban Spools. If you purchase a Baby Lock sewing machine from us, we will have it ready on the first day of camp for exclusive use all week. At the end of the week, you will take the sewing machine home along with the skills to operate it.
Taking the Intro to Sewing summer camp more than once reinforces skills and builds confidence. When a Student takes a class or camp again, we do the same project using more advanced sewing techniques with that Student, there is never a dull moment.

| Skill Details: | Ages 9-14 yrs old (no exceptions) A waiver must be signed on the first day of camp. Please let staff know of any food allergies prior to the first day of camp. |
| Materials Included: | All materials needed for this class are included with the price. If you opt to purchase a Baby Lock Joy sewing machine for your child for camp, the sewing machine will be unboxed and ready for use on the first day of class for exclusive use by your child for the week. At the end of the week, we will box it up and send it home with your child. |

Cancellation Policy A Student may cancel a class registration via email (education@urbanspools.com) or by phone at 214-324-5755. Cancellations with more than 3 days prior notice may request a full refund. Cancellations received 1 - 3 days before the class will receive credit towards another class.
