Spring Shop Hop

One of my favorite activities is when we get to participate in a local shop hop. Not only is it a great opportunity to meet new Sewists in our area, but it is also a chance for us to share our passion with the larger Community. This year, Box Car Quilts is coordinating a Spring Shop Hop, and we are thrilled to be on the list!

The Pocket Full of Pinnies Spring Shop Hop will run March 6 - 18. There are 12 DFW-area shops who are each offering a free pincushion pattern to paticipants. If you visit each shop, you'll also be entered into a raffle for a gift basket from each shop. In addition, one grand prize winner will receive a bundle of gift cards from all 12 participating shops.

New Fabric Arrival

Myth + Dream collection from Cotton + Steel: Mystical animals, magical flora, and friendly gnomes abound in the new Myth + Dream collection by designer Mercedes Cortes. Jellyrolls and 10x10" pre-cut stacks are now in the shop, along with yardage of these enchanted forest prints with metallic accents.

From Joanne, our Baby Lock Machine Specialist: Get a crisp, even seam with a wooden Clapper. Press your seams open with your iron, and then place the Clapper on top of the seam for a perfectly flat crease. Available in two sizes

Urban Spools is Moving!

After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024
2936 Reward Lane Dallas, TX 75220

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.

Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
