Trinket Sew In: For our quilters participating in the Alison Glass Trinket Sew Along, join us Monday, May 8 for a Sew In from 5-8 pm. Come make some progress on your quilt in the company of our wonderful sewing community. Single registrations and memberships available.

Tips from our Team

From Malik, our Store Manager: If you are having trouble sewing on delicate fabric, try sewing with a piece of paper under it! It will stabilize your stitches, prevent puckering, and keep your machine from eating the delicate fabric. Remove the paper when you are done sewing.

Urban Spools is Moving!

After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024
2936 Reward Lane Dallas, TX 75220

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.

Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
