Depending on the type of craft or project you are working on will determine the type of needle you will require:
- Sharps needles are ideal for precise, fine work on delicate or lightweight fabrics.
- Tapestry/Cross Stitch needles are for loosely woven or canvas fabrics, such as in cross-stitch or needlepoint.
- Embroidery/Crewel needles are for embroidery.
- Chenille needles are used in the art of crewel embroidery and ribbon embroidery.
- Quilting needles are similar to sharps but with a finer point to handle multiple fabric layers.
- Milliners/Straw needles are used in millinery and fine needlework.
- Leather needles are specifically for sewing leather, vinyl, or other heavy, non-woven materials.

After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
