We offer a wide selection of Schmetz sewing machine needles. These needles work with all home sewing, embroidery, and quilting machines.
Change your needle after 7-8 hours of sewing use or when damaged. Damaged or worn needles result in broken or shredded threads, skipped or uneven stitches, puckered or damaged fabric, and popping or banging sounds when sewing.
The best needle to use is based on the thread thickness and fabric application of each project. Use the color coding on each needle to keep organized.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
