We first met in Siloam Springs, AR, where Sarah was attending college and Erin was working as a pharmacist. Erin's brother, Luke, first introduced us and it was friendship at first meet! We talked about the books and movies we both enjoyed and then moved on to hobbies. Erin was just then starting her first quilt, and Sarah was fascinated by the idea of creating with fabric. After Luke and Sarah were married, Sarah met Erin’s two grandmothers who were also quilters. She appreciated the beautiful tradition that they had passed on to their families, but saw the potential for adding her own modern flare.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024
2936 Reward Lane Dallas, TX 75220
We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
