Bloom by bookhou is the debut collaboration between multi-disciplinary artist Arounna Khounnoraj and Japanese fabric manufacturer KOKKA. The collection features three prints inspired by the different elements of a garden, each printed on a gorgeous cotton-linen blend canvas. This print "Leaf" depicts feather-like leaves on five different colorways.
About Arounna Khounnoraj and bookhou
Arounna Khounnoraj is a multi-diciplinary artist of remarkable talent and vision, known for her exceptional contributions to the world of textile artistry.
As a textile artist, Arounna's work transcends the ordinary, with a signature style that seamlessly combines minimalism and intricate detailing. Arounna has published several books on a variety of textile and artistic techniques, including her book "Punch Needle: Master the Art of Punch Needling Accessories for You" which has been translated into several languages.
Arounna's artistic path has been marked by numerous accolades and collaborations, but perhaps most notably, her partnership with her husband, John Booth, in founding bookhou. Together, they have crafted an artistic venture that beautifully marries her textile expertise with his woodworking skills, resulting in a harmonious fusion of art and craftsmanship.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
