Folk Heart

"The collection "Folk Heart" is inspired by my memories of traveling in Mexico and Oaxaca in 2020 before the pandemic. I visited the wonderful Folk Art museums. I was very impressed by the mix of lace, the bright cut-paper garlands and flowers, the terracotta animals, the heart motifs everywhere and the colorful textiles and ribbons. I wanted to create joyful patterns with the right contrasts and colorful images I still had in my mind."
