"We live in a block of flats where there are numerous cats living, they roam the back gardens and it’s hilarious to watch. So, the neighborhood cats are part of my inspiration, also our current cat Eddie. He is a funny 10-year-old White Russian with no tail (a dog bit it off). He only cares for food and cuddles, and occasionally fights (other cats). We once had a cat called Catstroke. He was old and mean and loved chicken. His expressions were used for this collection as well as our little baby cat called Pele. Cats are just funny. If you live with or around them, they have so many stories to tell."

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
