Rashida Coleman-Hale designed Reign in the summer of 2020. She says, “It was such a difficult time for not just myself, but Black people all over this country and the planet. We were finally being seen, but for all the wrong reasons. I’m so amazed by my people and all of the things that we have managed to accomplish and overcome in this life despite being subject to a system that wasn’t built for us to succeed. Black people are Kings and Queens! So, I created Reign as a reminder to myself, my husband, my children, my people that we must own our power and remember who we are.” Rashida designed a range of beautiful, jewel-toned cottons with lots of metallic gold sparkles.|

After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
