Christopher Thompson is a New York City quilt designer who puts his own creative spin on fashion and quilt style. His perspective, modern. His preference, graphic. His approach, 100% unassuming. Before he could even walk or talk, he sat underneath the quilt frames of three generations of award-winning masters. Raised with quilting as a backdrop—color, pattern and design were part of his regular diet. Today, sChristopher gleans most of his inspiration from the New York City buzz and his work in the fashion industry—where color and print are the critical foundation of every design. He loves finding the balance between print scales and mixing it with a complementary or contrasting solid color.
Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
