"Hello! I am Faye Guanipa, artist and illustrator living in beautiful New England just outside of the Boston area with my husband and three daughters. I also run a stationery business, Olive & Company, named after our oldest daughter, featuring colorfully illustrated greeting cards, children's stationery, and small accessories. My artwork features color palettes and imagery that play on a cheerful vintage aesthetic with a modern twist. It is a reflection of my love of vintage textiles and style. I license my art in home decor, fabric, and paper goods, and I am currently illustrating my first picture book! My work has been featured on the cover of Bravery Magazine and on greeting cards for Trader Joe's and UWP Luxe. When I'm not in my studio feverishly drawing, you can usually find me crafting or snuggling with my tiny humans, creating mood boards for our fixer-upper home, out shopping for the next vintage find, or scouting my next dessert and coffee spot!"

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
