William Reue is an architect, artist, and quilter whose creative pursuits explore the intersections between abstraction and the built environment. He maintains an architectural practice in New York City and is known for his thoughtfully-considered projects that marry creativity with pragmatism. William’s interest in quilting and fabric design was sparked when he attended a free quilting workshop with his sister, Yvonne, at her local library in Victoria, Texas. He was intrigued by how simple materials and fabrication techniques were used to create compositions of rich geometric complexity and profound meaning.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.

We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
