"Hello! I’m Yuan, a Graphic Designer living in New York, where my work is easily inspired by both nature and urban living. I love to work with various medium including watercolors, and pen & ink.
Before I discovered the world of surface pattern design I worked as a web and graphic designer in the retail industry. Since then I have created a line of handmade stationery and greeting cards, Lemon Drop Papers, Inc., featuring hand crafted tiny envelopes and my signature illustrations. My paper products are being carried in stores across the country, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and internationally in Australia, Canada, Japan, Switzerland and The Netherlands. You can also find my designs for fabric, wrapping paper and wall paper on Spoonflower.

Urban Spools is Moving!
After 10 years in Casa Linda Plaza, we are moving on to a bigger and better location! But, this relocation will happen in 2 phases.
Phase 1: Temp Location starting June 1, 2024
2936 Reward Lane Dallas, TX 75220
We are now open for business in our temporary home approximately 1 mile from Mr Sewing Machine in West Dallas at 2936 Reward Lane. Here, we will continue to offer the products and services you expect from Urban Spools - Baby Lock sewing machines, modern fabric, patterns, sewing classes, longarm quilting services, and machine repair services.
Phase 2: NEW Location for 2025

Early 2025, we will open our new permanent home back in East Dallas. Our new location will offer more retail space, additional classroom capacity, and an overall better location experience to better serve you. We will keep you all informed with dates and details on our website, social media, and at our temp location so stay tuned!
